I created Make My Maths Better to provide free maths help for children who follow the British Education System, whether they are based in the UK or are studying in an International British School around the world. It revises the mathematical skills learnt in class, through a collection of presentations, and provides the opportunity to practise these skills using interactive maths games. There is also a section to help children to revise for the end of Key Stage 2 SATs.
As a current Year 6 Teacher, I will be posting my maths presentations and links to some maths games that I use in the classroom each week. I will also go back to basics with some of my posts and include detail of the work that should have been covered previously, lower down the school. My posts about addition, for example, will include all of the steps towards a standard written method and not just the ones covered in Year 6. This is so users are able to get a full understanding of each topic. Therefore, when finished, the site should be of interest to children who are in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 – those aged between 7 & 11 years old.
